Message from the Principal

Dear Alta Loma Family,

As it has been one full week since the horrific events in Parkland Florida, as our school leader, I would like to reach out to everyone with an update of how we as a Ram school community are addressing the issues emanating from the current spate of school shootings across the United States.

Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, family, and community members. We will do everything in our power to help our school community remain calm, prepared and conscientious of the various implications that these incidences produce.

About Peachjar eflyers

In the past, our schools sent home loads of flyers in students’ backpacks. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly and to embrace innovative technology, we have moved from paper to a digital flyer delivery.

With our Peachjar eflyer program, the eflyers will be sent directly to parents’ email inboxes as well as posted on school websites for easy access. All flyers may be accessed by clicking on the  logo.

Each year, our schools will save tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. In addition, paperless delivery of school flyers removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.

School and school district-approved eflyers will keep you informed about upcoming school activities, programs, and events. And our children's backpacks will be a little bit lighter!

Come join us for our first ever district-wide College and Career Fair! It will be Saturday, March 3rd from 11am to 2pm at South San Francisco High School in the gym. Students of all ages are welcome, and parents are encouraged to join them!  You can attend workshops about how to apply to college and about financial aid, there will be college reps from across the country, and you can hear speakers from a variety of career areas. Students can earn extra credit in their math classes! Complete the worksheet at the fair and turn it in to the counseling office at ALMS.We hope to see you there representing our Alta Loma family!

Alta Loma Middle School is excited about our new program, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS). PBIS is a proactive approach to establishing the support needed for all students in school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success. Key focus areas of PBIS at Alta Loma include prevention, positive behavior supports, and using data to better determine the needs of our students.

We are looking for help from local community and surrounding area businesses to help support students and our program at Alta Loma Middle School. Acknowledging both students and staff for their dedication to the program will help ensure the success of PBIS in our school and help support positive behaviors in the community. Any form of support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Examples of things that may be helpful would include gift certificates, product sets/baskets, or financial donations to help purchase materials needed for the program. Any donation will be publicly acknowledged, as we are deeply grateful for your support.

We look forward to  partnering with you to ensure the success of our students.

Please use the form attached to fill out the necessary information and keep the portion below as an unofficial receipt for your records, until an official one is sent to you upon receiving the donation.
