Attention Parents and Students:
Recruitment and Registration for the Washington, D.C./New York Trip is on. Parents and students have already begun the fundraising efforts. Don't be left out. There is still plenty of time to get involved to raise funds to help with the cost of the trip. Call me and I will put you in touch with the fundraising chairpersons. The field trip will be March 24/25 - March 30/31 two weeks before Spring Break. This way you can still make plans with your family during Spring Break. The trip cost includes air and land transportation, quality hotels, three meals a day (two upgraded dinners), New York Broadway Play, guides in Washington, D.C. and New York, Radio City Music Hall Tour, and any entrance fees that are required for admission and more.
We are traveling with School Tours of America. This will be our 23rd year traveling with them. Safety, Education and Fun is what they strive for when planning and arranging the trip. They work closely with me to ensure that our students are receiving the best trip possible. This company is run by former teachers.
Registration packets are available in the main office where you can mail in your registration, fax it with $99.00 fee or register online at
www.schooltoursofamerica. Our trip number is #8112. Thirty-five participants ensure that we have our own bus and are able to plan our itinerary. Less than 35 and we will be combined with another school, which is not a bad thing, it allows are students to meet students from other parts of the state or country. Registration is due by November 14, however, to increase our chances of getting a White House Appointment, we should have all the people registered by the last week of October. Names have to be submitted to Jackie Speier's office so we can be cleared by the Secret Service.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Mr. Delorio in the main office.
Please see the attached Ram Alert, it is packed with lots of helpful information including:
