Re        Locker Clean Out and a Few Other Items

Dear Parents and Students,

Thank you for your continual support and collaboration as we work through this unprecedented period of time. With the abrupt closure of the campus on March 13, much was left as is until this very day. It is time to clean out lockers, return textbooks, and gather other belongings as we close the campus to the 2019-2020 academic year and prepare for 2020-2021. Please read this carefully and abide by the directives which are provided for the safety and well-being of all.

The return of textbooks and locker clean out will be held on six different days – May 12, 13, 14 AND May 19, 20, 21. There will be two sessions (9:00-11:30 and 12:00-2:30). Students will be assigned by last name and are asked to adhere to their time slot and given day. If there are any problems with the assignment, please contact Dr. Pallitto.

The following guidelines will be put in place.

  • Social distancing must be practiced for the entire time a student is on campus. That means there can be no hugging or handshakes as students greet each other on campus.
  • Masks and gloves are mandatory for entrance onto campus.
  • Students must bring enough bags (or one big enough) to gather belongings in their lockers. No items will be disposed of on campus.
  • Donations of PE uniforms will be accepted. There will be a bin in both locker rooms.

The process is outlined below:

  1. Parents drop students off as soon as they enter the gate. Parents should proceed to the lower parking lot, park in a designated space, and wait for their child.
  2. Students will maintain social distancing and follow the directives of teachers/staff. Students may enter a building only when they have been directed.
  3. Students will follow the walk through campus as given below:
    • Enter Ram Hall and return books. Place the books on the designated table. Look for subject matter and grade. Books to be collected are listed below:
      • Pearson Math – Digits Vol. 2 – all grades (some students still need to return Vol. 1).
      • McGraw Hill Impact – Social Studies – all grades
      • Chapter books for ELA
        1. Grade 6 – Hatchet
        2. Grade 7- The Outsiders and The Giver
        3. Grade 8 – The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Of Mice and Men
      • Library books (if you have one checked out)
      • Classroom library books – please put the book in the respective ELA teacher’s box located on the stage.
    • Once books have been returned, students will go to their PE lockers, enter when directed and collect all their belongings.
      • Please return your instruments to the Band Room before going to your PE lockers.
      • If you are in ADVANCED BAND, leave your cardigan on Mr. Figueroa’s desk and pick up your picture if you ordered one.
      • If you are in JAZZ BAND, pick up your sweater and your picture if you ordered one.
    • From the PE lockers students will go to their academic lockers and enter the area when directed and do the same. Students are asked to take all their belongings and to make sure lockers are free of any stickers or magnets or other forms of decoration.
    • If necessary, students may go back to Ram Hall to return books left in lockers. Please do not enter the building until told to do so.
    • After all that …
      • If a student has art, Ms. Collins would like for you to pick up your projects in room 35.
      • If a student is in Ms. Brenneman’s or Ms. Duncan’s ELA class, please pick up your binder from the respective classroom.
    • Students should leave by way of the lower parking lot where their parents should be waiting.

Please note – if a student has forgotten the combination of either lock (red or green) or the locker number, he/she must email Dr. Pallitto through Schoolloop before May 8. Please include your full name, grade, and which locker/combination has been forgotten.
